Bouncing balls are great, I wish we replaced all the chairs of this world with bouncing balls. Awesome for the back too, and they are fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!
I found your topic very interesting since I am also a girl and women’s rights is an issue in which I strongly believe in. It is regrettable to know that the participation rate of women in politics, even if it has risen in the last couple of years, it is still very low, especially when it comes to high-leading positions. Given that China is a major player in the capitalist economy as well as in world politics, it is important that women should be seriously taken in consideration. I personally believe that if there were more women in politic the world would be a better place. Usually, people say that women often get confused with their emotions and that is why they shouldn’t be trusted with decisions. I, however, am of the opinion that a more human and sentimental touch in taking decisions; our world would not be ruled by pure economic and power-related interests.
I understand your point. Some pitchers have their little ‘’ritual’’ before they throw the ball. Though I do not think they want to end their career because of those little rituals. I must admit that sport isn’t my field of expertise. Hockey player used to play without wearing any protective gears. Unfortunate incident had to happen before they decided to make helmet mandatory. I believe it would be safer to make pitcher wear helmet. Obviously it would take times for old player to get used to it but at least it would keep them from brutally end their career.
I strongly agree with what Marie is saying. In Quebec we are very privileged to have an abundance of water, and we don’t seem to realize this. We should be much more careful with the way we use water, and we should also think about the people that aren’t as privileged as us.
I think that Marie is totally right. In the west side of our planet, many poeple don't have the chance to enjoy the benefits of safe water because they simply don't have access to it. Here in Quebec, we don't even realize how water is precious because we are surrounded by it. Everyday, we use water as if it was unlimitited. I think that people like us, who can drink water as much as we want and take at least one shower everyday, should become aware of how they are lucky to get the benefits of a that ressource and make effort to enjoy it without wasting it.
Sleep is essential to our learning abilities. Looking at our classmates and ourselves it is easy to understand why it can be difficult to get enough sleep. We’ve all procrastinated at least once in our student life to finish our homework. The only reason to why we do not get enough sleep is how we manage our time, it is also the solution.
This issue really outrages me. I find it inconceivable that women at such a young age get married with men who are probably more than twice their age. I am well aware that it is a cultural aspect in Yemen and that their religion greatly influences their behavior and I have respect for people practicing their religion. However, when the practices go against the common sense and not only the girls’ well-being but the well-being of the whole country, I believe that international organizations should immediately intervene. People from the occident should go to these places and educate girls; I would be the first one to go
Reading your article really opens my eyes. I never really thought about it, but it really is when I lack of sleep that I am not as productive as I could be. I should really force myself to sleep more because after reading your article, I think that it could, somehow, help me focus more during my work and be more productive. I spend so much time procrastinating and am a very slow writer and student in general. I read slowly, write slowly and it affected my grades more than once. I never really considered sleep as something necessary for my success, but the more I think about it, the more I tell myself that I might not be using as much energy and brain activity on my work as I could. Naps will now definitely be a part of my agenda and I will organize myself to sleep earlier. Now that I know the source of all my problems, I cannot stay passive about it. Thank you so much !
The light from cellphones and computers isn't really good for your eyes either. Furthermore, if you use your cellphone before sleeping, ithe light actually makes your brain think that it is sunlight and it affects your sleeping habits. It is, indeed, not a good thing to have such technology in our bedroom.
But, I don't think they should stop people from using their cellphone in their bedroom, because some people are only using them for listenning to music or to communicate with other people. I therefore think that we shouldn't abolish the use of cellphone, but we should control it.
Time is by far the hardest thing to manage at the college level. It isn’t always easy to find time to do all of your assignments, especially when they’re all due at the same time. I think the key to success is being able to manage their time. To be structured, organized and to be able to avoid distractions is the key to good grades.
