I chose to comment on your summary, because I too am concerned about the worlds water supply. It was very interesting to read how much water was used to produce meats, I was completely unaware of that. However I believe a good solution is first address the problems of our society, which are over consumption and mass production, then find a solution from there, by perhaps only producing what the society needs. I don't think, trying to reducing our society's meat consumption will work. Since in the U.S in 2012, there was roughly 52.2 billion pounds of meat being consumed (Barclay, 2012),which is a lot of the population and would be hard to concince many people to reduce their eating habits. However, according to Barclay, the consumption in beef has slightly decreased since the 1970's. Overall, I agree with you that this is a serious problem that needs to be fixed, as soon as possible. Good Job!

I agree i still cant believe he was elected and i find his behavior to be complexly unprofessional. when someone talks about him in a negative light he lashes out on twitter. it is kind of embarrassing to watch to see an adult be so reactive to comments. as president he represent the country so his behavior is not what he should be presenting himself as. His PR team must have heart attacks whenever he touches his phone. So yeah i do not think he should remain in office and if they start moving the impeachment forward good for them. Some people just are not cut out for all that responsibility. Why is it so hard for him to understand this?
i agree with what you have said in analyzing this article. i find that mental illness has become a glorified trend and then mocked in movies and shows. For example, just look at Netflix's 13 Reasons Why, it was a show of a girl who got depressed and angry and we listen to her paranoia towards events that happens in her life and in the end we see her kill herself on screen. the depression was just used as a prop in the show, they did not talk about it nor did they talk about ways to help. it was a glorified mess and showed mentally ill people inn a negative light. the movie Split that came out not too long ago also did mentally ill people dirty. social media truly loves to uses it as a quirk or something they can get money off of. which really angers me since at the end of the day they do not have to deal with mental health issues and if they do they are playing themselves. When will people start to take mental health seriously?
I agree with your view on him being a hypocrite. in my opinion every time he opens his mouth to speak it is an embarrassment to all 50 states whether they know it or not. There is no way that seeing the dead children immediately change his opinion on bombing them. Pictures have been circulating around for months of the damage and tragedy that has fallen on the country. It all seems way to convenient for him to say this then drop the Muslim ban. If he really had a change of heart he would have looked into ways to help the people still stuck there not lock the door. How far will his PR team have to go in order to make him actually look like a politician? Because that is all that was.
I agree with your views on this dilemma. Although the solution is a bit extreme it is not without provocation. Did they honestly think no one would find out? It is very unjust for the other countries playing fairly. then again they could be the first of many to use the drugs in order to win. in my opinion that just shows desperation, if you were so gifted to given a place on your country's Olympic team why do you need drugs to do well? I think that the drug tests they have should be more vigilant and evolve along with the drugs. But if that happens and more are caught cheating, when does it even stay for the game and start being about egos?
I agree with your point of view about the referendum. I think that they should be allow to cast the vote for Independence in a democratic way. If the people feel like they are alienated by the rest of the countries culture they should have the right to this vote. for my knowledge they have their own language, culture and traditions. So it would be only fair to let them go through with the vote without the treat of being terrorized by the government and arrested. Which leads me to question why Spain is so against their independence?
I like that you have chose an article on mental health since it is something a lot of people suffer from and so it is important to talk about. Therefore, i agree with your point of view since it is something that get hidden under the rug most of the time. people with mental health issues have been subjected to horrible conditions and abused by those who were supposed to help them for the longest time and one would think that in this day and age that would stop. apparently not, which makes me sad because as someone who has mental health issues i have also had horrible experiences with people who were supposed to help and support me. and it does make it harder to go back and seek treatment and to talk to someone when a person has gone through that. It just makes me wonder when will the government or local communities take mental health seriously? They only seem to for a while once someone dies.
I strongly agree with you and the article. I think it is really important that women have the right to choose if they want to abort or not. Mistake or not, things happen and i think women should not be ashamed of it. If i women takes the decision to not keep a baby because she cant, it should not be considered as wrong, yet a strong move. It is not easy, as we all know to have a child so if a women decides that she is incapable to keep a child, its usually for the best of the child. Making that decision to keep it or not is probably already not easy as is, so women should not be shamed for whatever she decides. If a women knows she cannot feed her baby and this is her only option, they why should it considered wrong? A person who judges a women for her descions to me is arrogant. Being in that position is not easy, so a women should be allowed to do what she pleases with her body, no matter what.
I think is it unfair to place a law only focusing on pitbulls. Like you said, any dog can have such behaviour depending on the owner. If the wish to put a law to protect neighbouhoods, they should put it for all dogs. All dogs require training and good treatment to not be aggresive, its common sense. If you treat your animal right it will never fight back. Pitbulls require the same kind of attention like any other dog. Knowing this, i strongly believe that there should be a law made for every dog and not just pitbulls because it is just unfair.
I agree with what youve said and i believe store clerks should greet their customers with bonjour/hi. I know we live in Quebec and the first language is french but, we also live in Canada making Canadas first language english so both languages should be presented. Canada is a multicultural country who is very diversed so i think it is important to allow eveyone to feel equal. If we only presented french, in my opinion it makes Canada seem weak. The more we are diverved, the more we should consider others. If we only present one language it makes it unfaur for everyone else. Being that we live in Canada i belive it is important to present both languages so everyone can understand and feel welcomed.
