When it comes to college, sleep is one of those things a student can’t ever seem to get enough of. Whether it’s pulling an all-nighter studying or an all-nighter partying, messing with your sleep schedule and your quality of sleep can drastically affect your learning potential. Sleep isn’t just important for school, it is also important for your health.

In 1983, Denise Stockin’s trial was held in the town of Stuart, Virginia. He was charged for murdering Kenny Arnder for money, he accepted from Tommy McBride. Mc Bride was supposedly angry at Arnder for tricking him on a drug deal and wanted Arnder dead to prove a message to everyone else. There was significant evidence to prove that Stockin killed Arnder. Moreover, Stockin confessed to killing another man in 1979.The jury found the defendant guilty and sentenced him to death because he was found to be a future danger to society.

Multiple debates have been going on for many years and are still not solved at this current time since they are continuously challenging our views and beliefs. Indeed, the question about whether the assisted suicide should be legalized or not remains unanswered. There are several opinion issues about this, and it is often because people do not talk about the same ideas. In fact, there are a lot of options regarding the "earlier death". The euthanasia, the palliative sedation and the "stopping potentially life-sustaining therapy" are some of them (Quill 4).

Thanks to revolutionary advancements in medicine, today, millions of people have the chance of surviving diseases and accidents using donated organs. There are millions of people who are waiting for organ donations to save their lives. Unfortunately, a high percentage of these people do not receive the help they need due to few of organ donations. This issue has been discussed, debated, argued, but its resolution has never been achieved. I believe that families shouldn’t be allowed to stop doctors from retrieving organs from a consent dead patient because of ethics.

Nowadays media is everywhere! At home, at school, at work and even on the streets there is some sort of media flashing at you. However, this was not always the case. Media today "teaches" us how to live and behave socially and what is to be expected of us. Teenage girls are most susceptible to this due to high levels of social pressure incited by the media. Advertisements, fictional TV series, Hollywood movies and even cartoon movies all portray the perfect woman and girls take this very personally and it has some very consequences.

Car accidents are one of the biggest issues in today’s world. It is discussed, debated, argued, but how can it be avoided, and who is it to blame still remains a subject open for discussion. The author reflects on this topic in the editorial “Pedestrians and drivers are both to blame for accidents”, published in Calgary, Atlanta. In it, he argues against the notion that drivers are to blame for the increasing number of accidents in Calgary but that pedestrians are as much responsible as drivers for accidents.

One would think that Canada and India have nothing in common because they have different cultures and are far apart from each other, but when we take a closer look, we see some similarities. For one thing, both countries where colonised by Great Britain. Moreover, both countries had to decide whether to divide one of their provinces in two or not.

Are there any advantages or disadvantages to having different religions in society?

In my opinion, religion should be a personal choice and not imposed by society. Every person has the right to practice his or her own religion as long as practicing it doesn’t undermine the society’s laws. Moreover, religion shouldn’t influence the government’s passing of bills because democracy cannot be based on bias. For example, the old laws on illegal abortions. I believe there are some advantages of having different religions in society.

Religion should be a personal matter not a social one. Freedom of religion is an import value in Canadian society; this said I do not believe religion should influence the entire society. Everyone has the right to practice their religion in a way that can positively influence people of their community. I strongly support the idea that religion has no place in government. If the government is not secular, religion could cause major problems such as bias.
