Many diseases have symptoms that are visible to the eye like cancer, Parkinson or muscular dystrophy. The people who are affected by these diseases tend to be noticed by the population and attract unwanted stares. Although these people can fell like they are being pitied or judged, having a visible disease has its advantages or may I say, having an invisible disease has its disadvantages.

All along the semester, I decided to concentrate my blog post and writing on a cause that is important to me, homelessness. I chose this subject because it perfectly shows how our society is build today. It demonstrate that the entire society is not build in a way that favorises a quest of solutions in this issue. Also, the well-being of every human on this planet is something that bothers me because everybody deserve the same quality.

The author also tries to see how this are can be improved.

The article ‘’Exclusive: Family homelessness on the rise’’ written by Andrew Francis Wallace on The Star, a Toronto news website, tells the story of Blair Levesque and his partner Felisha Young who share a Scarborough basement apartment with their 6-week baby Nikolas. They had a dispute with their landlord and, unfortunately, the family has the fear of being evicted with nowhere to go. The family was struggling to find a new home for themselves because the couple both suffer from disabilities and are on welfare.

In the article called “Colby Cosh: The magic of ‘ending homelessness’ — and ending up with more” by Colby Cosh in the National Post on March 21st, 2016, the author comments on the state of homelessness in Canada, more particularly in Edmonton, Alberta. The main highlight is that this winter has been a very busy one for the homeless shelters, even if this winter was not as harsh as the previous years. Plus, the staff working in these shelters reported a 42 per cent increase in outdoor sleeping.

Adults, fearing that this concept might reach their children one way or another, act very aggressively when thinking and talking about perpetrators of such crimes. Since the first stories about the allegations of physical and sexual abuses by priests started to surface in the late 1980s in Canada, a lot of new cases started to appear in the news. A new case just came up in the Montreal Gazette but this time, it is about the compensation to a newly identified victim. In the article named Victims of Catholic brother will be compensated by Paul Delean, it explains that an out-court settlement has been made between the Catholic brother Jean-Paul Thibault of the congregation Frères de Notre-Dame de la Miséricorde and the victims.

Latin America has recently been affected by a devastating virus that has multiple impacts on various components of society.
