In this article written by CNN staff on October 15th 2013, a 7.3 magnitude earthquake shook the country of Japan.  It was approximately 200 miles away from Japan, located in the Pacific Ocean. About three billion dollars of damages have been evaluated.  This is not the first time that Japan has had huge natural disasters hit them, making many casualties as well. In 2011, an earthquake with the magnitude of 9.0 hit the Fukushima prefectures, with about 15,000 deaths. This has had a huge impact on the country’s economy since they always have to rebuild.

Dan Neal. They conducted a study among college students and their alcohol use, how much and if was binge drinking. They researched the amount of drunk driving that was happening and studied the Drinking age along with the law and legislations.  The objective of the study and article was to examine the drinking and driving after participating in drinking and the use of alcohol and other drugs.

In purpose of this article is to bring attention to UNICEF wanting to end female genital mutilation. Female genital mutilation is a ritual of cutting girls’ genitals. This ritual is practice by some African, Middle Eastern and Asian communities (BBC New Africa, 2013). One of the main points and certainly needed when trying to understand these communities is the reason behind the ritual. These communities practice FGM with the belief that it protects women’s virginity and woman marriageable (BBC New Africa, 2013).
