  It is known that China has been very strict concerning the amount of children that a Chinese woman can produce. This law is also known as the “One-Child Policy” and recently, it has been “loosened”. In fact, it has been stated in the BBC article named “China reforms: One-child policy to be relaxed “  that in  the future , couples wanting to have more than one child would be able to if one of them was an only child.

The article talks about some child soldiers that have managed to get out of the military and also about their parents and their experience. It is said that at the age of 14, Zaw Min Paing was enrolled by the army.

According to the article “Smoggy Beijing sees lung cancer cases soar” in the BBC News, the number of cases of lung cancer in Beijing increased of 50% over the last 10 years. Officials say that the main problem to this cancer issue is principally the fact that too many people smoke, though; the air pollution is also a major factor.  The World Health Organization (WHO) has estimated that the air condition they are living in may kill up to millions of people per year, which is huge just because of the air pollution.

In the article found on The Indian Express entitled Indian economy will pick up by year-end: Raghuram Rajan, talks about how India’s economy will pick up by the end of the year. This rise of economy will be thanks to resources project and a good monsoon season that will boost agricultural growth. Even though its economic crisis in 1991, India is able to increase its economy with different technics. Many people are wondering if the fact that they are raising economy will raise rates or not. Raghuram Rajan does not want to answer to that question just yet.

Another demonstration against Quebec’s charter of values was held on Sunday in Quebec City and Montreal.

 In the article found on Le Devoir, the author describes a major problem that is happening in Quebec these days. The Government, in other words, the Premier Pauline Marois, has forbid its employees to wear any religious objects. This being said, the law banned Muslim headscarf, Jewish skullcap, Sikh turban, and large Christian crosses. Pauline Marois believes that this is necessary for society to function in neutrality. Many people are offended by this decision and have been manifesting in the streets of Montreal lately to demonstrate their anger.

In the article found on the Huffington Post, posted on July 15th by Isabel Malsang states that there is more and more racist violence growing in the middle of the economic crisis in Greece. This severe case of racism is more specifically located in Athens. Omar Diallo, a 28-year-old African origin, was attacked by four people in his ghetto neighborhood. The area he lives in is full of abandoned shops with graffiti all over them. It has become a very dangerous zone for migrants to be in. They can only go in groups, but surely not alone.

In the news article ‘’ Europe’s Invisible Children’’, written by Sabine Clappaert in the Inter Press Service, brings up an issue about illegal children immigrants in Spain. Originating in majority from Iraq, Hungary, Romania, Afghanistan and Turkey, those children had little choice but to come to Spain hoping for a better lifestyle. Some of the immigrants come along with their families, some fled their homeland alone.
