The last article is devoted to my home country: Italy. After having analysed and discussed the condition of women in other countries, it's interesting to discover if Italian women are less discriminated than women in other states.

Hello everybody!
I'm Sara, I'm 24 years old and I'm an Italian student.
I live in the middle of a forest in a little village called Sciolze, it is near Turin in the north of Italy. I lived there until last year when I moved to Padua (near Venice) to continue my studies.
I obtained my Bachelor degree in Turin at the faculty of Law, I studied Law of Public Administration, but my thesis was about right of LGBT persons and in particular the right to marriage for omosexual couples,
Then I decided to attend a Master Program at the facullty of Political Science and so I study Human Rights.
Now I'm in Potsdam for my Erasmus exchange and I hope to finish my exams here, so I'll be able to do my intership ad to write my Master thesis.
So, about me I can say that I like reading very much and I like travelling all around the world to discover always new places.
I like helping people and for this reason I'm a volunteer of the Red Cross in Italy.
I'm intrested on Human Rights issues and I'd like working for a non profit organization that deals with these problems.

Women have always been considered inferior than men, for this reason, they were deprived of many Civil Rights for years. Struggles for freedom, rights, equality and salaries were considered males' issues that didn't concern women because they hadn't their own rights and beliefs. “Men make the moral code and they expect women to accept it. They have decided that it is entirely right and proper for men to fight for their liberties and their rights, but that it is not right and proper for women to fight for theirs”1.

2015 is the year of the final evaluation. The Millennium Development Goals will end this year, States have to evaluate if they have been able to achieve goals established more than ten years ago, and then, if they have made the world a better place.
At the Millennium Summit in September 2000, world leaders adopted the UN Millennium Declaration, subsequently known as the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), that committed all States to achieve goals fixed in by 2015.

Callings like that1 are very frequent in Ciudad Juárez, located inside the state of Chihuahua, one of the 31 state that made Mexico. The city has become unfortunately famous for horrible killings of many young women, articles and books, as the Huesas en el Deserto (Bones in the Desert) written by Sergio González Rodriguez,describe the situation. Also the cinema has decided to show the problem on some movies as Bordertown (2006) with Jennifer Lopez and Antonio Banderas.

Ethiopia is the eldest independent African state, despite other countries, it maintained its independence from colonisation. The country was ruled by emperors until 1974 when some rebels obtained power, following years were characterised by war, poverty and famine, but finally in 1991 the Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front gained the power.

The screen in black, a women is crying and after few minutes there is the sound of a baby crying. There is another woman, she is waiting for news about her daughter and the newborn, finally a nurse appears and says “It's a girl”. Now the woman's face is covered with terror.

Hello everybody!
I´m Sara and I´m a student of Political Science, in particular I study Human Rights at the University of Padua, in Italy.
