At the end of the departmental elections on 22nd and 29th March, half of departmental councils will be women.     It will be a great step for parity – but not for equality. Up to that point, departmental councils were dominated by men but they will become the place for the women's breakthrough in political assembly elected by majority vote : in each canton, the electors will not vote for one candidate (man or woman) but for a duo with a woman and a man. So there will be as many women as men in each departmental council.

Just the words “money manager” or “investment bank” bring to mind images of liars, cheaters, and connivers. Perhaps the greatest depiction of this utter lack of morality came in the winter of 2007, when the Great Recession began. This marked the beginning of the most severe global economic meltdown since the Depression. While the causes of the 2008 financial crisis are exceedingly complex, one of the key contributors was subprime lending. Without delving into the specifics of the crash, it came down to banks providing loans to individuals with poor credit (Denning).

The decision was quite a surprise as the court changed its mind from a previous judgement contrasting their current approach. The ruling came after two women went in court in order to reverse the current law, which would enable them to die earlier and peacefully from their degenerative disease.

Last month, Conservative government’s anti-drug TV campaign ended. In total, $7,026,822 has been spent in advertising, which is more than what Health Canada for all the other programs and services combined during 2013 and 2014. This article introduces former NSA agent and whistle-blower Edward Snowden who leaked the truth about the massive surveillance program of Americans by the NSA and CIA. This controversial case picked my attention in what is the righteous way to protect one’s own country.  He might look as he has committed a crime against his own country by betraying the notorious NSA and CIA.
