I frequent a few social media type websites, and it's kinda weird to see how people act towards certain things on each website. On Facebook, my friends more often than not react well to... 'objective' content.

The article "Parent's Fury After 'Discriminating' School Trip" by Gema Bate which was published in the Worcestershire News October 1st, 2014 discusses a school trip that left out English speaking students. On September 30th of this year, St-Mary's Primary School, in Kidderminster, England took children who did not speak English as their first language to a petting farm, while the other students stayed at school for their usual lessons.

In her article “Views You Can Use: ‘No Angel,’ Bad Journalism?” published in U.S. News on August 26th, 2014, Teresa Welsh discusses the criticism that the New York Times has been facing following the profile it published of Michael Brown, a young black man who was killed by a police officer a few weeks earlier. In his profile, the victim is said to be “no angel,” a statement to which many react.

In their article published in New York Daily News on May 8th, 2014, “Donald Sterling apparently shocked to be called a racist in new secretly recorded conversation,” Nancy Dillon and Larry McShane expose Donald Sterling’s reaction to being accused of discrimination. Sterling, owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, was caught on tape having a conversation in which he puts down people of color, and, at one point, exclusively attacks Magic Johnson. It was understood that he did not appreciate his girlfriend, V. Stiviano, going public about her relations with African-Americans.
