It is too often that people say things like, “Oh, that’s a man’s job” or “That is a woman’s job”. How did these made up “rules” allow people to become discriminated by gender? Why should anyone limit themselves, their talents or their passions because of societal “gender rules” that have been functioning for years. Toronto has an increasing population. The problem with this is that it leaves a large about of people without access to outside space (green space). The article "Toronto striving for green space in a growing city" by Lauren Pelley points out that although Toronto has some wonderful parks, not everyone has easy access to parks. Old city plans did not include green space, and this is posing concerns for further development in the city. This problem is between citizens, municipal governments and developers.
