Marylou Ouimet moved to Jonquiere from St-Lin Laurentide, near Montreal. She is studying in Art, media & technologies, more exactly in production, at the Cegep de Jonquiere. Passionate about televisions and travels, she would love that her future career combines these two. She expressed an interest in many other domains such as sports, languages, arts and music. In her spare time, she enjoyed horse back riding, reading, creating, writing and playing music. She also like to learn new languages on her own such as German.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Learning to take good photographs is therefore crucial in journalism. Pictures are complementary to journalistic articles, because they allow to catch the attention of the reader. A few basic photography rules are particularly important to know: the rule of thirds, the rule of odds and the rule of space. To begin, the rule of thirds is probably the most basic of all photography rules. It is about dividing a shot into nice equal sections by imagining vertical and horizontal lines, as it can be seen in figure 1.

Camera Control Unit Procedure   The Camera control unit is an equipment which is operated with remote controls. Remote controls are used for the treatment of the images of cameras. With the succeeding steps, the remote controls will adjust each image of cameras. As a result, the images should have the same appearance on television. There are six steps to follow: the adjustment of the black, the white, the flare, the gamma, the detail and the saving procedure.
