In 1977, Rita and Doug Swan, both Christian Scientists, did not believe in modern medicine, thinking that having “faith in God” was the only necessary “medical treatment”. According to them, being ill was an illusion, so instead of bringing Matthew, their sixteen months old baby who suffered from severe fevers, to the hospital, they paid a Christian Science practitioner to do some prayers for their baby. The practitioner told the parents that the fevers were caused by fear, and that the baby would recover with the prayers.

The Serengeti is a huge grassland that covers 15 000 square kilometers and is home to a huge diversity of species. Its name, derived from the Maasai language, translates into “endless” or “extended”. The Serengeti’s most famous feature is the wildebeest migration that is known to be the largest land mammal migration on Earth. The vast majority of this migration happens in the African country Tanzania. In order to ensure its economic well-being and improvement, the government of Tanzania was willing to approve the building of a highway that would cross through the Serengeti National Park.

Adam summarizes the real problem of eating meat, which is the consumption of all the world resources. Producing meat consumes 70% of the water used by humans and uses 30% of the land on earth (The Guardian). Humans are over consuming meat, and it became a problem due to the maximal capacity that earth can afford. This means that the humans are cutting more trees than they grow, producing more greenhouse emissions than nature can absorb it. The problem is real, and it is the duty of humans to solve it.
