Indeed, between 2001 and 2016, home support access experienced a decrease of 30%, whereas residential care with assistance access experienced a decrease of 20%. In the United States of America, there has been a decrease of voting participation. Indeed, in between the 2008 and 2016 election, there has been a decrease of 8.3% of voter turnout according to CNN Politics. The poor voting outcome of this important North American country raised my concerns.Source: http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/11/politics/popular-vote-turnout-2016/

Gregory Wallace explained through CNN Politics an issue that raised my concern. His powerful title of his article apprehends the matter greatly: “Voter Turnout at 20-year low in 2016”.  Indeed, the voting participation in 2016 in the United States of America was at its lowest point in the past 20 years. Only 55% of the voting age population selected the candidate they wanted to see rule their country. 55% of the American population represents 126 million votes. Although it seems like a lot, that is the result of the decrease of 18,7 million participants in the past two years.

If you’re a woman who is interested in politics and who wants to access the field, Equal Vote has a great volunteering opportunity for you!   Indeed, Equal Voice, founded in 2001, is a national organization that wishes to make possible the election of more women in Canada at any political level. They are fighting for equal distribution of men and women in the parliament of Canada. They are hoping for that to happen at both provincial and municipal level.

Close your eyes and try to imagine the world without computers, smartphones, Wi-Fi. Try to imagine how the news of nine eleven would have spread without computers and instant broadcasting videos. Who is responsible for all this news spread, you may ask? Well today, pretty much any one who owns a mobile. However, that has been happening only for the past decade. Not so long ago, the only ones who were responsible for everyone’s knowledge of tidings were what we call, journalists.

“If he Beats you he Loves you” seems to be the new slogan of tendency in Western Europe’s largest country, Russia. Indeed, Susan Ormiston explained through CBC News in “Domestic Violence Penalty Rolled Back in Russia” on January 27th, 2017 that the conservative parliament of Russia succeeded to bring the amendment of decriminalizing domestic abuse to the third reading. However, the president Vladimir Putin’s approval of the amendment is still required to bring about official change.

As reported by Amanda Holpuch last July 21st 2016 in the Guardian, another act of racism was made by the police. It is not the first time this last year police officers in America have opened fire on black unarmed men. Charles Kinsey, who is a behavior therapist in a group home was sitting by the street with an autistic patient when a police sped out of no where and brought a gun in their direction. Charles was not armed and his patient had only a toy truck in his hands whicht he therapist repeated multiple time he had to the police while his hands where in the air.
