About me:

My name is Mohammed Hassan, I am 33 years old, husband and father of two young sons (one is two years old and another is seven months), I am originally from a young nation which is located in the region of Horn of Africa called Somaliland, well Somaliland is not yet internationally recognized country, and the world still knows us as a part of Somalia, which we have separated 22 years ago.

In the year 2011 I established the largest online Somali news portal based in UK (www.halbeegnews.com) its a news website which mainly covers up the political and economical news from Somaliland, between 2011 to 2014 the website was visited by a number of 1.4 Million hits.

apart from this degree I am currently studying from Coventry University, I also gained pass degree of Information Technology from Preston University in Malaysia, I came in UK back 2007, and I have been working with different financial organizations, from 2009 to 2012 I worked at Barclays Bank as Dispute and Fraud Adviser.

I chose Coventry University firstly its on my doorstep, and secondly Coventry University is one of the shinning and superb university in Great Britain, specifically I found the course which I used to dream, when I looked through out the English University MAP, Coventry University was the only University in England which my course is literally available Oil, Gas and Energy Management, there may be other couple Universities providing similar courses but cannot be compared to Coventry both the ranking and caliber, I really call myself very lucky.

Well its not easy to be a father, husband and student but I decided to go back to the UNI another time of my life, because of the Oil and gas seismic surveys which are ongoing in my country now, that is who I am, please feel free to probe me any question about me and I am more than happy to respond, my below photo was taken in Coventry memorial park one year ago, it was lovely sunny summer day which unfortunately I cannot recall.

After watching “An Inconvenient Truth”, we realized certain facts, that we have not previously considered. Human kind has evolved so much for the past few decades. Since the “Industrial Revolution”, we have made amazing technological and scientific breakthroughs, such as space travel, vaccines for otherwise terminal diseases and, of course, wireless technology. The aforementioned have enabled us to prosper, as a species, and go beyond boundaries, previously  unreachable.
