About me:

I´m Diana Consuelo Loachamín. I study Environmental Engineer at the Universidad Central del Ecuador (UCE) in Quito. Right now, I study that career to find ways to keep nature less polluted. I live with my parents, my two sisters and one brother. I live in Amaguaña, It´s a town near of Quito. In my free time I enjoy keeping my garden. My favorite sport is run and byking around my town. My favorite place is Yasuní in the Amazon Region. I´m connect with nature because I live near of protected natural area “Refugio de vida Silvestre Pasochoa” other way why I'm connected to nature is when In our university conducted field trips to learn about the conditions under which are the fragile ecosystems of the moors and the forest.

Taking care of our Earth is no longer an option – it is a necessity........

SIEMBRATÓN It was the most ambitious national reforestation event in the history of Ecuador. The target was met. Ecuador achieved a new Guinness World Record for the most people simultaneously growing plants. On the day of reforestation May 16 active participation of 44 883 people, 191 parishes was achieved. The volunteers, who included Scouts, students, government officials and representatives of the private sector, 647 250 plants planted in a total area of 1997 hectares.
