There is so much problems on the planet that could be overcomed by stronger wills of inhabitants. Most problems that we face nowadays are caused by men “cleverness” that sometimes can be very destructive. The planet is starting to age, because of her tiredness of men’s fights. Citizens, children, women, men, foreigners are tagged, but  now it is time to stop putting names on what we see and start being one whole that support each other. Oxfam

In my latest project, I studied what are the problems in our everyday lives that keep us from going forward in the gender equality matter. I looked at impartial articles on gender studies, men's studies and sociology to find the general causes of gender inequality in our social environment and found out that the major factors in that issue were that women are expected to work a double shift of work when they get home because of gender role. Also gender generalization in our society prevents us from being equal with everybody who doesn't fit the mold our society puts them into.

News summary The article “New York City’s Office for Immigrants Has Become a Global Model” by Kirk Semple demonstrates very well the idea of new power and it is also very linked to the issue I am facing: immigrants’ integration.

This man of power considers education as one of the most powerful weapon. He was born in Umtata as the son of the chief's tribute. He was part of the African National Congress (ANC ) from 1944 to until it was banned in 1960.

In the article called “Colby Cosh: The magic of ‘ending homelessness’ — and ending up with more” by Colby Cosh in the National Post on March 21st, 2016, the author comments on the state of homelessness in Canada, more particularly in Edmonton, Alberta. The main highlight is that this winter has been a very busy one for the homeless shelters, even if this winter was not as harsh as the previous years. Plus, the staff working in these shelters reported a 42 per cent increase in outdoor sleeping.

The article:”50% of Americans think Syrian refugees in Canada pose security threat: Ipsos poll” written by Andrew Russell on March 10th of this year ahead, published by the Global News really demonstrates different perspectives an American can have from another one. As the title clearly says, half of the United-States is scared of the 25,000 Syrian newcomers in Canada, their neighbour. Meanwhile, they only welcomed 955 Syrians refugees, which shows how less accommodating they are.

CCS

CCS (Collective Community Services), to me is the most interesting organization, compared to the other three I found in our case, as students. They basically take everyone, no expertise at all is needed. So, it is a great place to start with, to gain experience in the field area of cultures and to at the same time contribute to a good cause. The only problem, though is that they only offer volunteer works from Mondays to Thursdays during the day, this is exactly when we are at school, I know. This is the reason why it did not work for me.

South Korea’s schools are killing their students. Physical and psychological issues are hitting the learners in an exaggerated overwhelming way. For instance, the article “The Assault Upon our Children” by See-Wong Koo directly says: “Among young South Koreans who confessed to feeling suicidal in 2010, an alarming 53 percent identified inadequate academic performance as the main reason for such thoughts.” Koreans might be part of the smartest kids in the world by belonging to the class that has among the highest ranks on international education tests.

Tom Ford, a notable fashion designer, has built his name in the high fashion industry by offering top of the line designer clothing and accessories. The attached image is an advertisement released by the Tom Ford label. This ad depicts a man dressed in formal clothing with his slicked back hair being combed by a naked woman. His formal clothing suggests he is dressed for work, unlike the woman whose is represented as a sexual object. She is completely nude and wearing a large amount of makeup, is tanned, and has clearly had her hair done by a professional.

Winter, in 2016, has a hard time deciding either to give warmth or coldness to the Canadian population.  As a quebecoise, I used to define coldness with -30s and below, but this year -10 is a damn cold day.  Ski stations are struggling! The temperature this year is highly above normal seasons. According to John Azpiri in the article: Will Climate Change Bring an End to a Regular Ski Season on B.C. Coastal Mountains?

Marathonians can reduce their footprint when running in organised greens’ races by  reusing, recycling and consuming less with less harmful products for their environment such as using biodiesel buses, biodegradable cups, organic T-shirts and even trophies can be made from reused bicycle parts. The Austin marathon wins, in the United-States in Texas with his greatest green initiatives. Their toilet paper is recycled, that is how far they go and it is awesome. I fully support that, it must influences other races.

Sierra Leone, although situated in an African region it has been americanised a lot, mainly in terms of their architecture. This can be explained by the fact that it was founded by freed American slaves 200 years ago. Since then, they have not modernised at all until Amid’s arrival. Sierra Leone’s infrastructures looked like an old South-American city with his yellow clashing buildings made of wooden boards. However, a wave of urbanisation was brought by Amid, a man whom had a strong preference for a concrete style. Most citizens approved with Amid’s ideas.

Are people trying to escape North Korea? In the past couple of months there have been wooden boats popping up on Japanese shores with dead bodies. All the bodies have been decomposed. These boats are thought to be fishing boats from North Korea. Many letters have been found on the boat having “Korean Peoples Army” written on it. Is this the only way out for North Koreans? Taking a boat? The fishermen from North Korea are a selective few who do not have to work in the labor camps and can actually leave the mainland.

<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; The people all over the world have serious problem about poverty. At first, I will focus on undernutrition. The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization estimates that nearly 870 million people of the 7.1 billion people in the world were suffering from chronic undernourishment in 2010-2012. There are 16 million people undernourished in developed countries. Also, Children are the most visible victims of undernutrition. Children who are poorly nourished suffer up to 160 days of illness each year.
