Women and children’s oppression has always been a very controversial issue that I feel entirely concerned about. Since I am a woman and I live in a free country where women can enjoy gender equality and have exactly the same rights as men, I believe that we must expose the oppression numerous women live under in many countries hoping it could one day stop.

I am always interested in everything concerning women's and children's rights. As being myself a teenage girl, their protection and their rights are subjects that are really dear to my heart.  Of course here in North America, women had gained much more rights, by their determination, since the twentieth century. However, it is not the same case in every corner of this planet. The article " Nigeria's child brides: 'I thought being in labour would never end' " immediately caught my attention as it implies young marriage and ethical issues.

Over the past few weeks, some controversial issues occurred in Egypt and since I am Egyptian and that my family was somehow affected by these events, I feel the urge to expose a summary of what is going on. Also, these events did not only have an impact on Egypt and Egyptians, they affected the entire world and altered the dynamics between more than one country and that is why I believe that everyone must be conscious of this particular situation and its critical dimension.  The article “Billions in aid on the line: What will the U.S.

Since the redaction of my super-post, I have been writing about violence and corruption caused by the Mafia and street gangs. In my previous posts, I have been elaborating about different strategies to end this violence such as spreading awareness about the dimension of this phenomenon to adults and children, Montreal Anti-Corruption Squad, finding the roots of organized crimes in the heart of our governments as well as investing more money into researches and investigations about this issue.

On the 14th of April 2013, journalist and reporter Nada Mohamed was verbally and publically harassed by minister of information and member of the Muslim brotherhood Salah Abdel Maqsoud. In a conference that was diffused on national TV, the reporter asked the minister a question that he did not seem to appreciate. She said: “Mr. Minister, where is the freedom [you are talking about], when journalists are dying and getting beaten everywhere?” Maqsoud answered laughing without any hesitation “Come here and I'll show you”.

At the very beginning of the semester, the major part of my posts was about Egypt, because there were a lot of controversial issues happening there. Most of my posts described the explicit and unacceptable violence and corruption growing in Egypt since the reign of the Muslim Brotherhood. What I found most intriguing is that the more I read about this issue, the more I was able to discern a correlation between the corruption that was being propagated and the increasing rate of violence. I was absolutely fascinated by this issue and I wanted to learn more about it throughout the year.

Since the redaction of my Super-Post about the violence related to organized crimes in Montreal, I became really interested in this issue. The more I read about this concern, the more I realized that there was more than one dimension to it. The most important dimension that shocked me was the impact that this violence can have on youth. This violence could either transform them into victims or criminals.

Montreal Mafia’s History is neither short nor pleasant. It is a story far from finished that appears to be more elaborate and obscure that what we really think. The following article will treat of the recent violence and murders that occurred at Montreal behind which the Mafia figures as a major actor. To do so, two news articles published respectively on the CTV news and on The Gazette websites, as well as an academic journal treating of organized crime related to the Mafia will be discussed and analyzed.
