Today, millions of people use the Internet for its multifaceted purpose. For example, we use the Internet for social networking, listening to music, and file sharing (whether done legally or illegally). As such, since one has the ability to share music to countless amounts of people around the world, there has been an emergence of musicians and producers who have started using a method of creating music known as digital sampling. According to John Lindenbaum, this process “allows a musical artist to appropriate sound from a previously recorded work and incorporate it into a new work” (1).

           It is a clear and known fact that women in media are often seen as the object and not the subject. Women have been fighting for decades to gain the equality that is well deserved, but when people like Robin Thicke come along, all the blood, sweat, and tears that those women went through to get to where we are today sets society years back. In 2013 Robin Thicke created a very controversial and demeaning song and music video called “Blurred Lines”.

  In Canada, the minimum legal drinking age (MLDA) is nineteen, with the exception of Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec, where it is eighteen. Regardless of this national inconsistency, this poses an interesting moral conundrum for Canadian citizens, which MLDA is morally right? Like most perplexing ethical dilemmas, this one has no simple answer and as such is debatable.
