Hi i'm Ayme, an 18 year montrealer who is looking to make a difference. I'm making this account on the day of Donald Trump's inauguration, January 20th 2017. I am fearful of a few things regarding this presidency simply because Donald Tump's use of rhetoric has created such fuss over the past months, and he has been known to make some off the wall and often quite offensive statements. I am a person who is very optimistic and hopeful, and i believe that this is a time where we must hope that Donald trump will make the kind of changes that will better the lives of Americans. Only time can tell what will come out of this presidency, and i sincerely hope for the best.

As a human living in a community, it is normal to have complaints or concerns about the way our community is governed; however, very often, individuals don't  know how to go about fixing the problems they see.  It all boils down to the issue of governance. How should we go about governing ourselves, sharing resources and making decisions in our communities?

Road maintenance seems to be an issue that concerns Montrealers, and during the winter months, we all know that frustrations are amplified when snow removal is delayed or even neglected. Motorists aren't the only ones neck deep in complaints, in the Montreal Gazette’s article “Squeaky Wheels: Sidewalks should be cleared as often as bike paths” (March 5, 2017) Jason Madger discusses the concerns that Montrealers have expressed regarding the snow removal on city sidewalks, or rather the lack there of.

In the article "A Montreal Meals-on-Wheels Program is Closing the Food Waste Loop" posted to Civil Eats by Meridith Bethune, you can read abut some of the amazing tings Sentropol Roulant has accomplished through their Meals on Weels program, such as feeding hundreds of montrealers that suffer from loss of autonomy, and making a big impact on the environment and their comunity.

Cold winters, torturous traffic, and road construction as far as the eye can see… If you're a Montrealer, you've probably had to deal with all this and much more, but what if i told you that their’s a more important issue you've ever even considered, an issue that if solved, could play a vital role in achieving  sustainability, which means less traffic jams, a better environment, and an over all improved sense of community. The problem I'm talking about is that of Icy bike paths.

The New York Times is a reliable source because as publisher and executive editor Arthur Sulzberger Jr said, the company’s goal “is to report America and the world honestly, without fear or favor.”

The news website The Daily Beast published a fake news article on the mosque shooting in Quebec City, they stated that “Police said two suspects were in custody after the attack. They were identified as white supremacists ‘David M. J. Aurine’ and ‘Mathieu Fornier,’ according to Reuters. This is not the first time the mosque has suffered from a hate crime.
