In virto fertilization is performed when a couple who are attempting to have children but are incapable turn to seek professional help. This help entails fertility doctors removing an egg or several eggs from the woman. They are later fertilized and grow “in virto” (in glass) for a few days. After being successfully fertilized and developing in virto the embryos are then placed back into the woman where the pregnancy continues as normally. The problem with in virto fertilization arises with the leftover eggs.

Imagine a life where you cant eat three meals a day, you don’t have a warm bed to snuggle up in a night, and that every day you struggle to find a new place to sleep. This is the life of a homeless person, a life where there are no excesses and hope for a better future is non-existent. According to the Wesley institutes study on homelessness produced back in 2013 over 20,000 Canadians experience homelessness on any given night, and a reported 200,000 a year.

Euthanasia is the act of ending one’s life in order to avoid substantial pain or suffering. From a teleological point of view, one’s morality should be defined by one’s summum bonum better known as an end goal. Some people use euthanasia in order to end suffering. Teleology states that if the actions the person takes are in cohesion with their end goal of life, and then by all means it is ethical to commit euthanasia.

In the field of sciences a moral dilemma that arises is that of medical testing on animals. When new forms of vaccines or drug are created, they undergo trials on animals, such as rats, to deem whether this new drug or vaccine is safe enough for human trials or even for future human use. Problems with this practice mainly come from a deontological point of view.
