Last Thursday, Robin Camp, a Canadian judge who gained popularity last year when he asked a sexual assault victim why she could not just keep her “knees together”, resigned from Federal Court. It was a rare event in the Canadian justice system and was followed by the release of a report from the Judicial Council which demanded him to be fired. The report described that “[the] judge’s misconduct was manifestly serious and reflected a sustained pattern of beliefs of a particularly deplorable kind”. In addition, it was just the beginning of what came to be many episodes and many cases which... [+] Read more
So I ended up with a very small book, with the dimensions of around 3x5 inches and weighed approximately 1 pound, by Culpepper published in 1751 titled, “Complete and Experienced Midwife.” This book was probably used by lower-classed midwifes during the 18th century as a guide to child bearing and proper remedies for the diseases. This idea from the “ionechat” website has created a lot of comments and the company was asked to... [+] Read more

French philosopher Auguste Comte believed that; “valid knowledge about the world can be derived only from sense experience or knowing the world through the senses of sight, touch, taste, smell, and hearing from making empirical associations” (Ferrante 10). As a young and experienced traveler, my mission is always: to connect on an ordinary level with my friends and neighbors from areas unfamiliar to myself and everyday... [+] Read more
