Health is an issue that most people would find pretty serious. Making our world healthier and diminishing health issues (diseases, ect.) is important in today’s society. I have previously written about health and have therefore chosen to write my volunteer opportunity research on non-profit organization’s helping to raise awareness for health issues and foundations trying to help.

S.Au.S Foundation

  • MISSION:

The mission is to raise awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder, such as what it means to live with it, and how it affects the community. It also wants to help affected people become lively members of society. They dedicate their work in order to provide programs to help the children who are living with Autism; this is done through art programs, playing, education and relaxation activities.

  • 2013 PROJECTS:

The foundation presents a movie for children who have autism and their families. They also have a Light the Night event dedicated to the Autistic children. Walkers are also welcome at this event and there is a “kid section” to keep children entertained.
