Friends For Mental Health

Friends for Mental Health is a non-profit community organization that guides families towards new paths in learning to live with a mental illness(s). They listen and counsel, they provide information and referals, they offer self-help and respite, and they promote public awareness. They work in collaboration with other professional mental healthcare providers. They provide their services for children, youth, teenagers, adults, and elders. There services are provided for children from the age of 6 years old. They are a community organization that provides families and friends with the suppor, information, and education they need to help them cope with a love one's mental illness. 

One might provide charitable support for this organization, because although their sevices are all for free, most of their funding depends mainly on donations and sponsors of professional mental healthcare providers. One can provide them with charitable support also through volunteering. Friends for Mental Health is always on the lookout for volunteers to be trained to help teach educational programs to families, to represent and provide information about FFMH association at booths and at special events, to provide families informational pamphlets about their services at the Lakeshore General Hospital, to particpate on various committees, to help with office work, mailings, translation, etc, or become a board member. Perhaps by donating money, you could help them offer patients more services with better quality, to help improve the lives of others.

We all live on the same planet, so if we all try to improve the lives of other people, eventually this planet will be a much better place.
