High school student improves

Olivia hallisey, a Junior High School student,, she soon became interested in the research of Ebola outbreak after seeing how quickly it grew. She looked into various tools and found there were few, those were difficult to use and expensive. The ELISA kit proved to be the most reliable, however its dependency on cold temperature made it slow and inefficient, by the time one person would be diagnosed they’d have already infected several others,spreading exponentially faster than it could be diagnosed.

This is a 2010 Calvin Klein advertisement which publicizes jeans. The image contains three men and a woman enclosed in a cage. Two of the men are half naked and wear only the advertised jeans, while the other man is wearing a half-opened shirt. The woman however is almost completely naked, wearing only a sexy bra.


                  For the past few decades, the term “selling sex” has become a common method to advertise almost any type of products with the use of sexualized images (Wade and Sharp 163). In most cases, women are displayed in very specific ways, where their bodies are exposed and used to the point of objectification.

Women in Advertisements: Nothing Hunky-Dory Here

          Welcome to world of advertising! Where companies use sexual innuendoes, half-naked women and a few cleverly written slogans to capture the attention of consumers for a product that is camouflaged amongst all these tactics.

Objectification is Not a Game

In this advertisement for the portable gaming system called the PlayStation Vita, a faceless woman is shown to have two sets of breasts, one on her front and one on her back. The tag line, “touch both sides for added enjoyment,” is written in a small minimalist font and is positioned in the bottom right corner. Unsurprisingly, the poster focuses on the provocatively clothed woman and not on the advertised product.

Modern Sexist Advertising

              Most people would be surprised to find out that many of their favourite chocolate bar companies can have extremely sexist commercials. For instance, a little while back, my friend had showed me a Australian Snickers commercial. This commercial clearly uses women’s bodies as sexual objects throughout the advertisement. In addition, we notice that women are portrayed as being irrational human beings.
