1 in 2 Children Goes to School With an Empty Stomach in Aboriginal Communities

Over the course of the semester, I have always been particularly interested in social issues related to human rights. Specifically, most of the topics that I chose to write about were related to Aboriginals in Canada. In 2017, in the developed country we evolve in, I still cannot believe that some people are not equally given the same opportunities as the rest of the population.

Too many Problems, so little solution (SuperPost)

English

The world is riddled with problems such as climate change, pollution, poverty, wars, and etc. These problems are currently unresolved and will most likely stay as is for longer periods of time. Although that is case, here are few examples of problems which can be addressed at a shorter period of time, and will help lessen the burden of the aforementioned problems.

Final Research Paper

Throughout the semester, most of my research as been directed towards education. This research paper with be analyzing other country’s system and our system and compare them to see what works better and what doesn’t, the goal being to find a way to make school a place where people want to be rather than being a somewhat forced thing. Instead of delving deep into statistics of one way to do it, I will go through a more general idea and talk about 3 issues and ways of fixing them.

Authorship, who should tell the story?

Blog Post #2 Question #2

Blog Post 2: Question 5

I don’t believe that Rhymes for Young Ghouls is constructed well enough to effectively teach people about this horrible injustice. It’s a great film; very well directed, very well acted, and very well built up but that’s not what’s in question here. The question is whether its effective at telling the story of residential schools.

The Shoreline Project Assignment.

Shipbreaking is a term I frankly never knew existed, I lacked knowledge on where all the old ships get dismantled and burried: Let alone the consequences of such acts. I had no perspective as of how many

different areas around the World were affected by climate change, and the video #7 describing how Shellfish are part of the endangered species, really helps put in perspective 'how much we have to lose'. It's

great to see how many organizations are currently taking part in solving this major issue.

Project - Rebranding of a Sustainable Business - The Lotus House

We are students in the Hotel and Restaurant Management Program at College Lafleche. Throughout our course "Business English 2" we have completed 3 professional workshops wherein we evlauated real businesses and then came up with real suggesttions and solutions which we might offer them if they were our clients.

For this 4th workshop, our task was to evaluate the Lotus House, which is a not-for-profit guesthouse which operates in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. This guesthouse uses its profits to support an orphanage, and in turn, the orphans have the opportunity to learn about the tourism/hospitality industry so that when they are 18 years old, they will have a better chance of finding a good job. Mongolia is set to become a major tourist destination, and we were excited to work on this project because The lotus House is a strong example of a sustainable business.

Our task was to research the company and produce the following documents:

Documents:
1. A rebranding package: logo, mission statement, slogan(s) and anything else that you may think useful.
2. A list of potential parent companies and a brief description of why they may be interested, and in which capacity they may be interested (buy/sponsor/partner). This part must be as realistic as possible and include real statistics and facts.
3. A SWOT analysis for 1 of those potential partners
4. A slideshow that presents the basic concept, key details, and major advantages which will incentivize the parent company to buy/sponsor/partner with your charitable client.
5. A second slideshow which illustrates the improvements, upgrades, technology, new concepts, new product offerings that the investor can make possible.

Here is our work so far:
