I am teaching and English composition course. In the next four to six weeks (beginning 11/10), my students will access NewsActivist to read and respond to student posts. During these weeks, we will be reviewing and they will be writing the following rhetorical forms: definition and persuasion/argumentation.
Initially, I will be asking students to select and respond to articles on NewsActivist that articulate issue and/or event definitions. Then, I will be asking them to select and comment on the persuasive arguments presented in articles about issues and/or events.
