California Shooting

by Lee on December 10, 2015 - 12:29pm

On December 2, 2015, a man and a woman opened fire on a holiday party that killed fourteen people and injured seventeen. The male suspect, who supposedly attended the event, left and returned with his wife and opened fire on the people. People at the non-profit center fled to the bathroom, under desks or anywhere they could find cover. The shooting took place at a social service center for the disabled in San Bernardino, California. The two suspects were both killed in a shootout with the police. A little after the attack, local authorities found an explosive device in the building. There is no conformation whether or not it was an act of terrorism or a personal motive on his co-workers. One of the two suspects whom were born in the United States, and we were not told where the other suspect is from. He had supposedly been working at the office for five years before the shooting. The male suspect had also gone to Saudi Arabia and returned with a wife.

To comment on what Lee said, I find this post very interesting! I, as well, talked about this event and for myself, what makes this shooting so different from others was that there was more than one shooter, a woman was involved, there was a fleeing attempt as they lived right nearby, and this couple has a 6-month year old daughter. This post was a great further understanding on the topic so thank you, Lee!

The summary of what seems to be an article is good. The only thing that would be missing is a reliable source. As a normal individual, I do not know if this story is true or not and if it really happened in California. You know these days, people would do anything to be acknowledge, even write something that is not necessary accurate. So, to help you strengthen your summary on the shooting that happened in California on december 2 2015, here is a reliable source that could help you make your summary stronger and more detailed.
This source is from the NY Times and you can see that many witnesses and the suspects relatives speak out about the shooters. If you look a little deeper, one of the authors of this specific article is Adam Nagourney. The name might not ring a bell to you but if you look up his name, he has been in journalism almost all of his life. He graduated with a B.A. in economics from the State University of New York at Purchase in 1977 and was appointed The Times' chief political correspondent in 2002. It's in 2010 that Adam Nagourney became the Times's Los Angeles bureau chief. This source is more than reliable, M. Nagourney knows what he is talking about. This article is a great way to embellish your résumé.
Yet again, it was a good summary!
