Ambassador in Japan /from Japan

The present Japanese ambassador in the U.S is Sasae Kenichiro. He was working as the Director General, Asian and Oceania Affairs Bureau, Foreign Ministry Official in Charge of Ministerial Aid, Vice Minister of foreign affairs. He has been the Japanese Ambassador in the U.S since 2012. In 2005, when he was the Director General, Asian And Oceanian Affairs Bureau, he endeavored to negotiate with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. When he started working for the Ministry of foreign Affairs, he received intensive on the job training for English communication. After his training, he worked as a first secretary of the Japanese Embassy in the U.S., an aide to Ogata Sadako United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the counsellor of the Asian Affairs Bureau at the Ministry of the foreign Affairs, the secretary of the Prime Minister and Foreign Policy Bureau.

The present Japanese ambassador in the Canada is Okuda Norihiro. He was working as the assistant chief of the ambassador of the United Nations, the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary in Egypt. When he started working for the Ministry of foreign Affairs, he received intensive on the job training for Arabic communication. After his training, he worked as the first secretary of the Japanese Embassy in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the vice president of second Middle East division of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau and the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary in Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. He is also working as the Ambassador of Permanent Mission of Delegation of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
