First, I’m going to talk about make Japanese-style confection experience. Japanese-style confection called “Wagashi” in Japan. It is sweets. Japanese people eat this in the tea ceremony. We can make Japanese-style confection in “Kameyayoshinaga” in Kyoto. This store was started to Edo period Japan. It has very long history, so we can have experience old-style taste of Japanese-style confections. I recommend this experience.
Second, I’m going to introduce about Japanese tea ceremony experience. The Japanese tea ceremony is one of the Japanese cultural activity. Japanese tea called matcha, it is powdered green tea. I like it very much. We can have experience in “Shourenin” in Kyoto. Japanese tea ceremony was started to Heian period in Japan. One of the most famous Japanese art of tea ceremony artist is “Sennorikyu”. He lived in Heian period. They said, he was very good at Japanese art of tea ceremony artist. Matcha is very good at taste for me but it is little bitter taste, so maybe you don’t like it. However I recommend it for you because it was very good experience.
Finally, I’m going to talk about make Japanese pickle experience. Japanese pickle called “Tukemono” in Japan. It have many kind. For example, “Asazuke”, “Nukazuke”, “Senmaizuke” and so on. These are very nice taste. Japanese pickle is one of the Japanese traditional food. Many Japanese people eat the Japanese pickle with white rice. It taste very nice. We can do the experience in “Kawakatu sohonke” in Kyoto. I have never made tukemono, so I think I want to make tukemono.
I want to do these experience because I like Japanese-style confection and Japanese tea and Japanese pickle. These are very good at taste. It is delicious! I have never done these things. I want foreign country people to know Japanese traditional. That’s why I recommend to there. Japan has a lot of traditional.
