Reinforcement in laws against drunk drving

by cthiemonge on February 4, 2013 - 12:42am

In a Montreal Gazette's article, they talk about the new provincial law voted in Quebec against drunk drivers. For now on, people who will get cough driving drunk three times will get their car seized. In the past years, accidents and mortal rates have dropped because of the laws and doing of the government. The latest statistics show a number 90 000 impaired-drivers incidents, which is still unacceptable.

I think this law will help to reduce the number of accidents, but many people have two cars at home and if they get cough, they can just get the other car. If they really want to make a change, they should remove their driving licence for ever after three offences. Maybe it is severe, but we are talking about lives and people should understand that. Big moves will make big changes.
