Living for others is the new "trend"

How much time do we waste in front of the mirror in the morning worrying about our look? How much money are we spending on new clothes, new smartphones, new video games or new jewelleries? All this just for the sake of feeling accepted or appreciated by people in our community. This is INSANE! We shouldn’t think that these material objects will make our lives easier and the only one who should be blamed for all this is the media. The media controls our lives. Whenever there is a new product, we see a celebrity wearing or using that product. And because we want to be as “cool” as these celebrities, we buy that product. But what we do not understand is that this an ongoing process. New products will never stop being released and we all know that celebrities would do anything for a couple of million dollars. We must realise that there are things far more important than our look or the generation of our IPhone. Why do we care about other people’s opinion of us? Is a person less cool because he or she does not have the latest generation of IPhone? We have to start living our lives for ourselves. We should focus on what kind of person we want to be or what do we want to do with our lives. We should do what makes us happy and stop worrying what people think of us because in the end, whatever we do, there will always be someone bringing us down. There is a time limit of us being in this world, so we must stop living life for others! How much time do we waste in front of the mirror in the morning worrying about our look?
