Wednesday, April 22, 2015, Minneapolis Community and Technical College is hosting a Global Conversation on Environmental Issues.

That day, students from eight countries will be joining together via videoconference to discuss how these issues are impactful locally and globally.

The recordings of these conversations will then be uploaded to the Global Conversation class at newsactivist.com.

All site users are invited to join this class at newsactivist and participate in the conversation that will continue long after Earth Day, as students and teachers around the world collaborate together to consider environmental challenges and solutions.

See you there! Just follow this link and click "join this class".

Email gabeflacks@newsactivist.com or diane.pearson@minneapolis.edu if you have any questions!

I read your article. Earth day is a special day for us. We live in the earth. One way of thinking is “earth is our mother.” However, we don’t care for the earth’s condition recently. We take care about the earth always so all we have to do is be kind to earth also. If we grasp that we are the “same family” as all living on the same planet, we can change the world to be much better. Peace will come to our lives and countries. This idea is so big and it ignores reality, hence some people might laugh at me. However, I don’t mind what others think about me, I’d like you to change your thinking for the earth.
